At Kata, we offer a wide range of financial products and services to meet our customers requirements – from single skips to full quarries.

One of the major challenges for our customers had always been finding access to funding for larger projects generally over £1miilion & having a proportion of Civils & Electrical costs as well as requiring large deposits & part payments pre-revenue streams.

Combining our hands-on knowledge of the industries we serve we have forged partnerships with funders who can provide this type of funding.

This is provided by  2 types of finance; “Project Finance” & “Structured Finance” or a combination of both. The summary of both are given below (subject to suitable criteria):

  • Project size £1m – £50million
  • Funding for the whole project including the non- assets involved such as civils, electrics, access roads, planning
  • Can fund up to 90% of the whole project
  • Can fund deposits
  • Can fund stage payments to suppliers
  • Can provide funding for the project up to 10years
  • As the project itself is the security generally there is no requirement to take liens, charges & debentures over a client’s existing asset base
  • Can structure repayments to fit with income streams

This type of funding applies to (but not restricted to) recycling plants, quarry plants, concrete plants, asphalt plants, and waste to energy plants.

Asset Finance allows a business to spread the costs of the equipment it needs , giving fixed monthly costs , without compromising cash flow.

  • Releases working capital/Equity back into your business for expansion , deposits on new purchase , new contracts
  • Agreed terms available
  • Can reduce existing monthly repayments with other funders

Often a fixed term loan is required for a deposit, working capital or other cash flow needs/requirments

Structured finance is when a business needs an amount of cash (£2m – £20million) to fund a variety of schemes that could be challenging to raise through their normal funding channels.  Typical examples of this are having the money available for a pending company acquisition, MBO, MBI, covering costs of setting up new contracts or a change of business direction.

Terms can be up to 10 years or structured profiles to suit rates. Security can be from a variety of sources in varying proportions such as hard assets, property, stock, contracts, debtor book, debentures over company & a proportion of unsecured.

  • Invoice finance allows you to release cash back into your business via unpaid invoices or contractual billing
  • Prepayment up to 90% of the invoice total
  • Confidential facilities available
  • Fixed or variable monthly service charges
  • Same day payments
  • Terms to suit your business needs

Many company acquisitions are unique and we work with our panel of funders to tailor the required solution.
