About Kata
Kata Crushing & Recycling Finance was formed in the aftermath of the 2008 recession to cater to the needs of companies operating within the Crushing, Screening & Recycling industries.
Rob Brown, the founder, had spent all his career since 1985 in these industries. Through rising to run & own his own companies he experienced first hand the difficulties the uniqueness of these industries could have on securing funding. At the time this was mainly caused by a lack of understanding & knowledge by many funders of the specialist nature of the Crushing, Screening & Recycling industries.
Kata Finance began working with a small panel of funders who were keen to understand these industries. Rob was joined by Tracy Wilson, a qualified accountant, who has spent over 20 years managing the accounts & dealing with the financial challenges the Crushing, Screening & Recycling industries can present to companies.
Kata has expanded into a specialist brokerage working for companies operating in the Crushing, Screening & Recycling Industries.
We are a Credit Broker and not a Lender. We can introduce you to a limited number of lenders and their finance products. We are not an independent financial advisor; we will provide details of products available, but no advice or recommendation will be made. You must decide whether the finance product is right for you.
We do not charge a fee for our services. We will receive commission from lenders. Different lenders pay different amounts depending on different commission models. For transparency we work with the following commission models: fixed fee, fixed rate of commission, percentage of the amount you borrow and rate for risk (this is based on the risk profile of the business).
For your reassurance, all of the lenders we work with could pay commission at different rates, but the commission we receive does not influence the interest rate you will pay. Our aim is to secure finance for you at the lowest interest rate you are eligible for from our panel of lenders.
